Where Sharing Stories Unites Us in Love

What is 'Tell Love Stories'?

We see Tell Love Stories as a movement; a spiritual assignment;

it’s a way of looking at the world together. About a year ago a group of independent entrepreneurs came together and decided it was a worthy dream to share with the world and the rest is history in the making. Groups in New York, LA, Miami, Nairobi, Toronto, and London have joined creating dinners and community. School programs, corporate playshops, family legacy projects, and board games are all paths to share the art of witnessing and sharing all sorts of love stories.

Tell Love Stories is an invitation for us to remember that our lives are a collection of stories. In that understanding, we find ourselves in the vibration of love. We are creating a  movement to host more meals, hear more stories, and bring more people together through the power of love.

Not all love stories are the same, and that's the beauty of it

Why Over A Meal?

When invited to a meal, guests often ask, “What can I bring?”

People want to contribute, and we’ve crafted a meaningful way for them to do just that. This time, we invite you to bring a love story to share stories of people or places or pets or life events, large and small.

We believe that they are ALL love stories.

Some love stories are bold and strong, while others may be quite subtle.  Perhaps some have ended ‘too soon’. Some involve friends and family members, while others may involve a stranger, a teacher, a lover.

There are stories that teach us something uplifting, and others that impart difficult lessons. Perhaps it’s an ongoing love story with yourself – with some parts already well-loved and others yet to embrace the love that’s waiting. There are so many stories, and we’ve created a framework that makes them easy to share.

What Happens At A Gathering?

We eat, we share, we laugh, we make connections. Eventually, those who feel comfortable are invited to share their story with the group.

Telling my love story unlocked a new level of appreciation for the love already had, while listening to the other love stories reminded me how very many kinds of love there are that it's all around and in infinite supply if we chose it.

How To Tell A Love Story

There is no wrong way to tell a love story. Your story is uniquely yours and can be about any topic, person, moment, experience or otherwise that ended in you understanding that it was a love story – your love story. Any love story that matters to you will be perfect. Any emotion accompanying the story is very welcomed and seen as a strength, held in trust by our community. Your story can be funny, moving, sad, short, or long. You can tell it in your own way, or use some simple prompts we’ll share – whatever makes you most comfortable. You can write it down or speak on the fly. You’ll have 5 minutes to share your story, so make it your own. There are no rules or obligations. The only key piece is that it ends with: “What I Learned About Love in that Chapter is…”

A Helpful Framework:

These prompts, while not required to tell your story, were developed to help those that may need a little help to start. You can choose to use these prompts, or freestyle your own love story in a way that is unique to you.

Once Upon a time…
Each Day…
Until One Day…
After that…
And because of that…
And What I learned about love in this chapter is…

Love, in its many forms, connects all our human experiences and love is not limited to romantic relationships. Love is present in the bonds between friends, the care within families, the kindness towards strangers, and the compassion for oneself and others, in growth, expansion, and learning. We are looking forward to hearing them all and sharing ours with you.  All will be held in confidence.

From Small Tables to Big Crowds,
Stories Connect Us

What’s better than sharing stories of LOVE in community? I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to share mine and witness others sharing theirs. Telling love stories is a movement I’m proud be a part of. And love is ALWAYS the answer. 🫶🏻

Attending the Tell Love Stories was the best dinner I have ever been a part of. I was in awe of how differently we can feel and experience love in our world. I connected with the other Tell Love Stories guests more than friends I'd known for years! Truly a dinner of a lifetime!
